Outlook For Mac Is Missing
Not helpful with the "new outlook" issue. I just reverted to old outlook, all sorted. For me it was the loss of all my calendar info. Not good enough really but happy with old outlook. Hope this helps.
I've been using Outlook for Mac with Office365 (latest release, 16.60) for work for a few months. I have it for both my primary work email as well as a client email address, both on Office365 accounts. I had the Teams Add-in up and working for a while when today I went to create a meeting and it was missing. When I checked my add-ins not only could I not see it, I can't even find it to re-install it. I've talked to support for both of my email accounts and neither side disabled it. One of the accounts uses Teams and the other doesn't, so at least one of my Outlook accounts has a full Teams license. I can see the Share to Teams button, but not the one to create a Teams meeting. Teams also doesn't show up under Get Add-ins or as an add-in in My add-ins. Yes, I also tried to create a new event and checked under the "..." menu to make sure it wasn't hiding under there.
Given this, I'd recommend trying to remove the account which users Teams from Outlook, then add it back and see if the Teams Meeting add-in can be seen. Should it still doesn't work, please log in to Outlook web app(outlook.office.com) and see if the Teams meeting option is there, see Teams Meeting add-in in Outlook Web App.
HI, see if this applies : -us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_outlook-mso_mac-mso_mac2016/outlook-2016-for-mac-cant-see-my-email-folders/ee33b6ca-bc8e-483c-8763-e5736f0d3b82#::text=If%20the%20folders%20were%20created,all%20account%20folders%20check%20box
When I switch to new outlook on my MAC it does not take my current preferences across for 'On My Computer' folders. I have several groups set up which I regularly use. I have looked into preference and the reason appears to be that the setting 'Hide On My Computer Folders' is ticked, it is also greyed out so this option can't be changed. How do I get groups back or if necessary start creating new groups.
Well, I'm filing a complaint with my HR department that IT is forcing users to use substandard software that is missing key features because some group of miss guided inexperienced engineers decided to cut corners on their job. I need the local folders to function. If they don't function I will never endorse or recommend MS products on Mac and see what options corporate is willing to allow to save the millions of dollars in lost productivity. my my estimate, if you take 20k users and mess up work flows due to stupid mistakes, most of the time resulting in hours and days of lost productivity per person at a medium rage salary of say 80K ($27.40hr), for 12hrs ($328.80) per person affected multiplied by the number of users impacted (20,000) = $6,576,000 of lost productivity every time The Mac Office team takes a shortcut!
Hi @REGINALD GRAHAM , Thanks for update, I have researched a lot about your requirement of migrate distribution lists in New outlook, but there seems to be no option that could help us achieve it there. Considering New Outlook for mac is a "new guy", please kindly vote the idea mentioned above and give it more patience, let's look forward the support of this feature in the upcoming new Outlook for Mac.
I am missing emails in my Outlook inbox on my MacBook Pro that are clearly in that same inbox on my iPhone. The vast majority are syncing in both locations, but a few seem not to exist at all on the MacBook.
Our CEO has an Office 365 license on his MacBook, but over the last 5 months Outlook has disappeared from the Mac 4 times now, the icon vanishes from the dock, so we check the apps folder and it is not there so then we re-install Outlook and it works fine. Has anyone got any ideas why outlook keeps uninstalling itself, the other Office 365 apps are still there and they don't uninstall.
Today I was about to send an email when I've noticed that on the Compose screen most ribbons were missing. Ribbons like 'Insert', 'Table' (IIRC), were just not there. All I got was a super simple compose window with a handful of formatting options.

The history of Outlook on the Mac is inglorious. Microsoft and Mac go back a long way. Excel, for example, was a Mac application two years before it appeared on Windows. When it came to Outlook though, Mac users lost out. Outlook on Windows goes back to 1997, but the first full Mac version did not appear until Outlook 2011, and even that was not very good, slower than the Windows version and missing some features, such as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
Therefore, when it comes to choosing a data recovery application for restoring deleted or missing Outlook emails on a Mac, our recommendation is Disk Drill. This tool has the ability to restore whole email databases from any email client (including Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.). Also, it can recover any email no matter its size since it does a fantastic job with large files.
Our Mac users are experiencing an issue with 'Search' option missing in Outlook plugin. And when they drill down on record, even 'Log' button is missing. But 'Log Email' button is enabled on home page. it's weird and I don't see anyone facing this issue in SF communities.I removed and reinstalled the Add-ins and no luck. please help.
Outlook has several different ways to control how the Ribbon (toolbar) tabs and commands are shown. And in recent releases, it changed to not showing all tabs and commands by default. That is why the Ribbon may appear collapsed, hidden, minimized or missing. So, some of the commands you use most frequently are not visible. We have had quite a few customer questions related to this change.
Open Outlook app > Click on Get Add-ins Icon from Home tab ribbon > Select All > Search for Add-ins (for example, zoom for outlook) > Now select Add.

Open outlook app > Go to File > Click option > Select Add ins >Select COM add ins for Manage > click Go
